I will just give some brief information to help you understand the car better, and to guide you to contact us and take your interest ahead...
I had earlier published an Ad - the one that I have published above. If you would notice, the closed auction was supposed to end by the 28th of Jan... However I haven't replied or got in touch with many who responded.
Apologize for this delay in making contact. It does seem unprofessional, but I just had to fully clarify some details regarding the requirements for obtaining an NOC from the RTO, etc, and so had frozen my Ad until I knew the legally perfect way to proceed.

- The Car is currently in Bangalore..., where I am currently employed. Please do Walk-In to inspect the vehicle and satisfy yourself as to the condition before making your bid. You could come in between9AM to 8PM on Saturday, and between 2PM to 8PM on Sunday.
The Address and Instructions to come over, will be provided to you after we hear from you. - Regarding Change of Close of Auction Date from 28th Jan to 07th Mar (hope so..., it could also end up being 14th Mar):
It WAS our intention (Earlier) to solicit bids from interested parties and to give the car to the highest bidder by the 28th Jan’09 (as mentioned in our ad). However many who came wanted us to provide an NOC from the TamilNadu RTO which would give them a clear and safe legal ownership on the car.
After clarifying based on these requests, we have to come to a conclusive decision that we will be giving the car only with an NOC..., since this would protect our interests as well as those of the buyer and indemnify both of any possible legal problems. And you deserve to get a 'clear hold' and title to the car... So, assure you that there is no problem or hazy area about the car ownership, and it would be absolutely no problem for us to furnish all and any legally required documents towards that.
We have therefore re-adjusted the Closing Bid Date to 07th Mar 2010 and intend to close it by midnight on the same day.
However, since the information of this change is being posted with such insufficient notice, we might get a lot of requests for extending the same. Hence the date might get adjusted to 14th Mar, 2010, but it will not be extended beyond that. - Payment towards the car will have to be made either by Online Transfer, DD, by Cash, or by Cheque payable at par. In the case of DD/Cheque, transfer formalities would be initiated only on realization of the DD/Cheque.
- 50% of the Agreed Car Sale Price would need to be transferred in advance, A Sale Agreement could be drafted to protect the interests of the Buyer until the NOC formalities are completed. This Advance would have to be given and realized before we initiate the application for NOC and intimate the RTO of Transfer of Name to the Buyer.
- THE ISSUE OF FIRST/SECOND OWNER (Certain Facts):
The Car was purchased from Ford Plant in Chennai Directly.
No Private Person has ever owned this car before me.
The Car had been used internally within Ford for their International Visitors and therefore had been registered in the Name of Ford India Ltd once.
Since I am the first private owner, I like to think of myself as being the First Owner..., or atleast as good as being the First Owner.
But if in your interpretation, the above does not hold true, then suit yourself.
If you interpret, (or) if you feel that the only correct interpretation should be that I am the Second Owner since the Car had been registered in the Name of Ford India before..., then please feel to interpret in the way you feel right, and re-consider your bid accordingly. I have no problem with that, and don’t want to answer to any dispute on this issue. - ABOUT THE CAR
- The Car was never hypothecated to any finance company.
- It has always been serviced with Ford Company only. You could check records at Chennai Ford for the time in Chennai, and at Metro Ford for the time in Bangalore.
- The Current Insurance is a Third-Party Insurance.
- The Car is currently being used everyday, and is in full and perfect running condition.
- This SUV is a Direct Injection Diesel Engine, Turbocharged with Intercooler, 4-Wheel Drive; Model – October 2005, Color – Oyster Silver, Kms Run – 48857 kms.

talk2saroja - The Car bears a TamilNadu Registration and the Number is TN21M5738. An NOC from our RTO would be provided for the Name Transfer needs of buyers from other states
- The Car was giving an efficiency of 9.3 kms/ltr in the city (verified full tank to full tank) before we changed the previous fully worn-out tyres. After changing over to Michelin tyres, we have not tested the Mileage, but expect it to be somewhere in the region close to 12. This is because when we bought the car from Ford, we were told that the car would give a mileage 12kms/ltr when on the highway.
- The Car has Brand New Michelin Tyres. Not the regular Made in Thailand tyres, but specially obtained ‘Made in France’ tyres. The Car will be given with the Tyre Warranty Card.
- The Car Condition is actually better than new. The Car will come with a Company fitted Car Stereo, Ford Original New Car Body Cover, and other items that come as part of the original fitment.
- The Ford Endeavour is such a reliable vehicle. I am really proud of this car. It is more a battle tank than a car when you need it to be; else it sails on the Highways like a breeze at 120. Of course it goes at 140 easily, and the Ford guys after they do their maintenance try it out at 160, but I like to relaxedly enjoy my drives with good music and 120 fits me well. There is nothing in it that has ever given a problem. Just the routine servicing that we do in the Company. But whenever we have done something, we have spent only the best for the car in all that we have done.
For eg.; When we had to change the tyres, we went for the best and got Michelin tyres made in France. Michelin Tyres themselves are so much more expensive than the company fitted MRF ZVTS radials, and we didn’t satisfy ourselves with the ‘Made in Thailand’ tyres but took some effort to obtain the ones made in France. And in every thing of that kind, we have done the best. The 50,000 hrs service was done using the best quality synthetic Lube oils which costs nearly 3 times that of the usually used Mineral base Lube Oils.
After taking it over from Ford, I have further improved on the Car Standards. I hate the harsh sunlight on the skin, and so got the best 3M Nano Crystalline film. That film is expensive but it is beautiful; the visibility is clear but there is no harshness in the sunlight. It blocks 99% of UV radiation and over 90% of Infrared.
I put in brighter headlights; fitted in a Electric cutout for the headlamp, the best one I could get in the market and got brighter headlights fitted.
I don't believe in body modification, etc, because these guys who modify never do according to the original company standards of finishing and always spoil it. I wanted to..., and have therefore kept the condition as virginal and as original as possible.
The car is a beauty but I have to give it off because we are falling short of money to buy a property which we really need. It's amazing how it never ever brings up even a single problem. Every part of it just keeps doing what it is designed to do and never gives up on you. I am giving the car with everything that came in the car. This car is a beautiful beast and I cannot allow it's standard to go down. So, it goes with everything that came with it and more. - GENERAL DETAILS OF THE FORD ENDEAVOUR:
- The Ford Endeavour is a copy of the Ford Expedition in the US, and if you would browse, you would see much better pictures showing the versatility of this SUV. The rear seats are fully collapsible and removable - the levers and the spring effect are so smooth that even small kids can handle it..., unlike in many of the other SUV's I had tried before buying this. In most of the others, you need to be somewhat like an engineer and even then it tests your patience. The mid seats can be similarly folded with a simple snap. The seats are fully reclinable, etc. There is ample neat storage for coke cans, books, magazines everywhere. And another good thing I liked about the Ford is the high visibility all the occupants of the car have regardless of where they are seated. I mean, even if they are seated in the last row you still have amazing visibility and you don't feel cramped. Most other models have these aerodynamically styled sleek windows, but they make me feel claustrophobic. And if at all there is a good vision, it is usually only to the guy sitting right next to the window. The rest feel suffocated, as if they are sitting in a coffin. Here every direction you turn, the glass is huge. There is nothing to regret while buying this car.

Yes, I understand that bidding usually presents an uncomfortable picture where people are pitted against each other. But in this case, it is not so, since it is not a regular open bid..., but a closed one... So, you are not directly interacting with another bidder. You would just be giving your price based on your market analysis, and inspection of the car, and how much you feel the car is worth..., and if the price you quote is better than the others, then you get to take it...So, there won't be any baseline price actually. You could even bid for 1 lac..., or whatever..., and in whatever increment... But if you are serious and you really like the car, then you would want to do something more realistic. - Also, I understand the indicative nature of the price of the car, but whoever buys it in KA will need to shell out extra money for the registration here//road tax..etc, will this be taken into consideration?

I am not exactly sure about the extent of tax that you would have to pay in KA. I understand that that would depend on the depreciated value of the car... However, am sorry to say that that would be to your account..., and you would have to bid for a price that you have compensated for that. The NOC from the RTO that we provide, and the expenses thereof however would be complimentary... - I am placed in chennai, and would like to inspect the car... Would it be possible for you to arrange that?

If you are genuinely interested after sighting the pictures of the car (they are current pics), and if your bid based on that betters the bids i am getting in bangalore, then I 'could' arrange for the Endy to be brought over to chennai... I might solicit a token earnest deposit from you towards that... - Do we need to transfer to the jurisdiction even inside TN?

Yes, that is necessary. Even if within Chennai itself... If the address of the new owner falls within the jurisdiction of another RTO, then it needs to be changed to the other... But that doesn't involve any expense or hassle. Usually the RTO consultants get the whole job done for a minimal fee..., and you need not even go to the RTO. - Do I need RTO NOC docs if I am going to drive in TN only..?
